Anya Sapozhnikova has been gracing New York City with her presence since 2005 and founded the Lady Circus troupe due to an overwhelming desire to lead a life of glamour.
On a constant quest of building a bigger and better spectacle, she has founded the House of Yes Theater where she has co-produced countless cirque-style stage shows with various collaborators, merging dance, theater, video and the Brooklyn underground circus scenes. The rest of the time she performs as much as possible on cabaret stages, in industrial warehouses, ferry boats and everything in between. The other rest of the time she runs The Sky Box aerial studio with Jordann Baker, her main aerial performance partner.

Performance
Anya Sapozhnikova rarely touches the ground when she performs. Her media includes aerial silk, static trapeze, rope, hammock, and aerial chain. She is constantly exploring unconventional apparatuses as well, like suspended bicycles and chairs to name a few. When not hanging off the ceiling she dons on a pair of stilts and facilitates instant dance parties. Acts range in length, theme and asthetic, and can be tailored to fit any event.
Event Production
Anya Sapozhnikova has been living and breathing event production for the past 4 years. She has worked on countless events ranging from outdoor celebrations to cabaret shows, to pop-up warehouse parties to private gatherings. She has extensive experience in everything from decor, to booking talent, setting up rigging for aerial shows and everything in between. When producing large scale happenings, she assembles a dedicated team of lighting designers, sound engineers, set fabricators and costumes designers. No event is too ambitious or too intimate.
Costume Design
Anya Sapozhnikova has attended Fashion Institute of Technology for women’s apparel. She escaped just in time. She now creates fashion strictly for performance: unitards, headdresses, stilt costumes, theme costumes, you name it.
